Hey there! My name is Lisa Mongold. Here are some things you might want to know about me: I’m married to Phil (May of 1993), we have 3 daughters (Marissa-15, Rebekah-14, & Alisha-11), and a shih-tzu named Patches. I’m a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, and I love my job. In my down time I love to read (mostly fiction), and music is a HUGE part of my life. It speaks to me.
About SunnySide
I’m very eclectic in the music I listen to. “On the Sunny Side of the Street” is a song from the 1930′s. It makes me happy. When I started my first blog a few years ago, this song was a reminder to me that I have a choice about which side of the street I choose to walk on. I fight a very melancholy nature, and tend to see the glass half empty. It’s a daily fight for me to see the positive in each circumstance. SunnySide is a reminder to choose to walk in the light. It’s also become my ‘handle’ if you will, in the blogging community.
This blog is for me. It’s an outlet for my thoughts, and from what I’ve been told, I’m pretty transparent. With me, what you see (or read) is what you get. I hope you like what you see.
Hey Lisa…saw your comment on Boo Mama’s blog and wondered what city you were from? My parents are from the same area – one was born in Hammond, IN and the other in East Chicago. One of my aunts lives in Hobart and the other in Highland. And we have several friends that used to live in Merriville. My grandfather worked for years at Inland (which I think is US Steel now).
